I sometimes think, how anyone is ever going to come up with a book, or a painting, or a symphony, or a sculpture that can compete with a great city. You can’t. Because you look around and every street, every boulevard, is its own special art form.

Zach Young, CNU-A | Senior Transportation Planner

Zach brings his enthusiasm for planning to each project he joins. He’s quick to share ideas from around the globe that could be applied in Greater Des Moines. Zach understands the importance of diverse transportation options for the community and strives to share this knowledge with others.

Zach holds degrees from Missouri State University and from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He enjoys baseball (he was named to the National Club Baseball Association’s All-America Team while at Missouri State University), traveling, studying cities, and spending time with family. He also enjoys living close to downtown, his neighborhood, and being able to ride the bus to work.
